So this weekend, i was working at Singapore Expo for the CozyCot Holy Grail Party! The event is actually some beauty show with a few booths selling other stuff like laptops and food (Nestle and Soyjoy). We as part of Watsons, came into this event as well to help Vichy and Loreal do their cashiering!

This whole event was super fun filled but with some unpleasant incidents which make me super pissed off. This lady, a PROMOTER from our booth but not from watsons, who i shall not mention her name or which country she is from, is just a super KPO (busybody). Whatever small little things me and my colleague (Johnson) do, she must also care.

First, while a customer is waiting for the Citibank credit card to be processed, its all right if we just give customer a choice to choose a free gift right? But, this lady, says that we should let the customer pay first then go into the booth to choose.. I mean like.. its ridiculous. Why cant customer choose at cashier counter? Ok.. if she says we are making the cashier confused.. THEN WHY DOES OUR BALANCE STILL TALLY EVERYDAY IN THE END? and whatsmore, she is not confused or we are not holding up the queue at all, instead we are making the queue go faster!

Second, she says that we ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO TOUCH AND PLAY with the computer and got pictures of us. YAH, TELL THAT TO MY MANAGER. first things first, we ask our supervisor's permission and then we use it to CHECK SALES REPORT.

Third, our GLOW magazine wasnt selling well. Hence, we only open one packet (50 copies).. her product sales wasnt good too so guess what she do? She pulled out her shelving and then put her magazines beside the cashier counter. Ok.. this one im fine with it. BUT SHE OPEN ANOTHER PACKET OF 50 COPIES. i was like pissed coz we have to pack up the things when the whole event ends.

Fourth, she says we are not supposed to touch the cashier. Ok, fine. So what if the cashier have to go toilet? does that mean that when customer comes, we have to let the customer wait? Absolutely ridiculous.

Fifth, me and my colleague both walked around the hall trying to promote the cards. This bitch says that one person is to stay in the booth and the other go out and promote. Fine, she said that right. But, if there is NO CUSTOMERS COMING TO OUR BOOTH, THE ONLY WAY TO PULL CUSTOMERS IN IS TO GO ALL OUT AND PULL THEM IN RIGHT??

So, we called our manager.. Her name is C.. She is very nice and listen to our story and tell us not to bother her but to sell as many cards as we can. Then she will have a reason to back us up if her boss ask her about this matter. Indeed we did our job well. Of the 100 cards target set over the two days, we fell short by 22 (78 cards sold) but THIS IS A SUPER BIG ACHIEVEMENT already! So im very happy.

Anyway, this event is already over.. I hope i wont have to see her darn face again. Or not.. i will def scream at her. Back to work at my favourite Watsons outlet (Parkway Parade) tomorrow! :D

parkway parade watsons is fun to work at. The staff there and the management are super duper uper nice. :)

Therefore, since im working almost everyday from 2-10pm.. Hence i wont have time to update my blog. even if there is time, still, it will be short coz will be very very tired.

Ok. 2.20am in the morning, zzz. sleep liao. nites.

So.. 2O02 had the first class outing on the most special day- 09/09/09. Heh.

So basically was expecting quite a lot of people to come but in the end it was quite a disappointment coz only five people came. Then zhen hao's last year class came to join us where there were some business and marketing students apart from LOM. so we combine into one big group and after the picnic, some of us went cycling.

Some stayed back in East Coast Park for fear of long distance.. I was thinking, "Maybe should experience and see how great the view is.." So we cycled. From Area C to Area H. then pass NSRCC and into changi coast road. The road is so damn straight until like there's no end.. We cycled 17km and looped back another 17km for a total of 34km.. by the time i got down from my bicycle, my butt was hurting like heckkkkk! Pain sia..

Then walked to marine parade to have dinner! Followed by that the rest went home while me, aloysius, joey zhen hao and one more guy (dont know his name) went to play pool.. I went to visit my Watsons friends. hahahas. :)

EXAM RESULTS CAME OUT AND IM SO DAMN GLAD THAT EVERYTHING IS FINER THAN EXPECTED. *HEAVES A SIGH OF RELIEF*

Sunday still have to work and today got meeting at 1pm later.. so i better get some rest. Chow!

Start of the second week of watsons. Called Joshua in the morning and told him i need to take off day on Wednesday and Thursday due to class outing and resting. :) My good watsons buddy Johnson will cover me on these two days and I will cover him back on Friday as he got chalet preparations to do! :)

An enjoyable day. Didnt really do any promoting but became a staff at the cashier counter to speed up the queue process and improve service time.. Sounds a bit like Management Science when i think of it. Hahas. Time passes fast. Finished work at 8pm and can go home de supposedly but stayed back and help Charmaine do her stock as she will be at expo tomorrow. Finish at 10. then went to eat wanton mee with johnson. damn shiok.

ok. i gotta go. Yawwwnns. tireeddd. :)

Promoting Watsons card can be fun and boring at the same time.

Fun as in we get to meet different types of customers when there is crowd and boring is because if there is no crowd, we have nothing to do!

So for today, our store manager wasnt around.. So i helped to do some promoting of the card and at the same time, helped to move some stock around the store! Which is much better coz im bending down my body to take stock and my legs are constantly moving around.. It will not be as tiring as standing at a spot and giving our the watsons card brochure. :)

Today is a friday and after that, went to Giant with two of my colleagues Charmaine and Strawberry (lols) to get some groceries before heading home. Bought milk, soya bean milk, green tea, sushi and sweets. Hahahas. My dad has craving for sushi and I never heard that before! o.O

Tomorrow got meeting at our new Science Park. We are excited to see our new office! Lols. :)
