Back from Thailand after a one day shopping spree. Haha.

Lol. We reached Thailand's new and impressive and just-built-not-long-ago Suvarnabhumi Airport at about 9pm on the 8th of December. After all the stringent immigration procedures, we went to take a public taxi to our hotel called First House. We thought the fare of 300 Thai Baht was quite cheap.. but it was not because on the 10th when we took a taxi using the meter, it cost us only 181 baht! Oh well, at least now we know.. Haha. Me and my mom decided to walk around Thailand at about 10 plus in the night and we had a plate of chicken rice at around 11 plus coz we did not realli eat dinner.

9th December- Woke up at 7am. After eating breakfast, we went to the Pratunam City Complex where the place over there basically sell ladies' clothing. Well. i was kinda bored so me and mom went separate ways of shopping where i shop at Platimum Mall while she continued shopping at the Pratunam Complex. So i went on a shopping spree after reaching the mall. After buying three T-shirts, a leather wallet and a pair of jeans, it was basically almost 12pm in the afternoon. So, i went out of Platinum Mall and walked a little further down and i realised i arrived at the IT Mall. Since David said that his keyboard was spoilt, i decided to go in and take a look and bought him a 230 Thai Baht basic keyboard. haha. However, when i arrived back to singapore and saw the comment that they had already bought a keyboard, i was kinda surprised. Oh well. at least now they have two keyboards to spam other people. I went to the A&W outlet just outside the IT Mall for lunch which cost me a 100 baht. then i went to surf the internet for an hour at the opposite side of the IT Mall and continued walking around the area to search for some Thai delicacies which i can bring back to Singapore. Haha. Oh yea, Thailand have a hell lot of 7-11 all around. Within a 100m radius, i think u can find at least 10 outlets, how convenient is that huh?
Night time after resting for an hour or two at the hotel (6.30pm thailand time), we took a cab down to the Suan Laam Night Bazaar where we had dinner comprising of fried rice with prawns, a roast chicken, a plate of kangkong and two 500ml bottles of orange juice. Haha. We managed to catch the last few moments of Middlebrough vs Arsenal on their local television network over there. But mostly, we were there for shopping. My mom managed to help me bargain a Starbucks Coffee T-shirt for 150 thai baht which is super super reasonable and cheap. Haha. We also went for a one hour foot massage which was quite ok and cost me another 200 baht (which is also very very reasonable price comparing to Singapore). Finally, at around ten fifteen in the night, we took a cab back to the hotel to find that there was a massive traffic jam near our area because of a speeding accident. Hence, the taxi driver took a detour and we reached home by 11pm where we have to catch some sleep for the flight home next day.

10th December- woke up at 4.15am thailand time (Singapore time would be an hour faster so its 5.15am) as our flight is 7.35am in the morning. Imagine to my surprise when i checked out of the hotel and the hotel cashier asked me to pay another 35 thai baht for drinking the hotel's mineral water. i told her i didn't take any drinks from the hotel but bought all our drinks from 7-11 just outside the hotel. She said that i took the wrong bottle by mistake so i went up to take two bottles of the same mineral water down where the plastic wrapping on both bottles were different. in the end, i concede defeat and paid for the drink-by-mistake 35 thai baht. sighsss. We reached the airport at 5.20am thailand time and after the super fast check in (we checked in on the internet), we went into the departure gates and went to find a place to eat. We decided to try the japanese ramen noodles and woah.. two bowls of noodles plus 7% GST cost us 500 baht! That's like the price at Ajisen Ramen Noodles in Singapore lo.. Haha. Since we have time after eating, i went to the bookshop and bought the book "Lost Temple" which cost me 350 baht which is actually a little cheaper than Singapore. The flight was ok as i basically was so so exhausted that i fell asleep for most of the 2 hours flight. So that's about all for our trip to Thailand.

Right, its about 11.35pm in the night now and i am really exhausted.. Update more news some other day.

After two years, i finally decided to get a new blog online. Its tiring to write it out in hand. First, its time consuming and secondly, its an environmental disaster as more trees are being cut down to make this paper. Yes, as u guess it, im an environmental freak. :D

In about three hours time, i would be leaving Singapore for Thailand! Time for more bargain shopping after two days at Orchard the day before and yesterday. Yes, though the weather was not really on our side, it did not dampen our mood. We walked under the rain, we played, we chilled, we ate and we partied all day long. Especially after eating Pepper Lunch followed by the extreme large Earthquake Ice Cream at Swensens (Its called Earthquake cause it has eight scoops of ice cream with smoke coming out from the centre) Hehe.
